Ashish Kapoor, MD, is a board-certified internist and the founder of North Houston Internal Medicine in Cypress, Texas. He specializes in the prevention and early detection of diseases and has been practicing for over 20 years.
Dr. Kapoor went to medical school in India and the United States. He attended Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi, India, where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, and he graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, in 1989. He completed an internship in 1994 at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, before heading back to Texas for residency training in internal medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch Health, John Sealy Hospital, in Galveston in 1996.
Dr. Kapoor has privately practiced general medicine since 1997. He’s a keen advocate of preventive medical care and early detection techniques to ensure his patients receive the very best health care when they need it most. Dr. Kapoor firmly believes that maintaining a state of well being is an ongoing process that takes time and great attention to detail, and he works in collaboration with his patients to promote healthy lifestyle choices to support this. He’s particularly renowned for delivering individualized and comprehensive state-of-the-art care plans for those patients with chronic illness.
Dr. Kapoor welcomes patients from all over North Houston for a multitude of medical conditions, including chronic illness, mental health, musculoskeletal, and cardiac disorders.
